Ken Ironside was the Gym instructor and pool attendant on the SS Australis in the 70’s.He was located on C deck (indoor pool). He was on my trip in Feb / March of 1976 when I was a 10 year old. I remember Ken as we swam in the indoor pool a lot. Back in the mid 1990’s we connected via “ICQ” an online message system. ICQ was a type of “teams” messaging system. Ken was fantastic in teaching me the coding of HTML and his assistance and friendship was appreciated. Kens page was originally for finding ex crew and mine was focused on the history. Ken often visits Australia and we always catch up for dinners and day outs. Due to circumstances Ken is unable to continue with his site, in 2023 he gifted me his site. I have uploaded what I can in dedication to Ken and to keep his work alive.
